Inspections

We are delighted to share that our school has once again retained our ‘Good’ judgement by Ofsted following an inspection on 6th and 7th November 2024.

*Please note that the Ofsted report refers to our previous school name.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our staff and students as well as the unwavering support of our wider school community. The inspection highlighted several key strengths which align closely with the values we strive to uphold every day:

High expectations for every student

We are proud that Ofsted acknowledged the high expectations our staff have for all students. Every member of our team is committed to ensuring that students are challenged and supported to realise their potential and achieve their goals.

In a recent survey, one parent commented: “Education is at its highest at Northolt High School.”

“The school has high expectations of pupils. Pupils produce work of high quality across the curriculum.” Ofsted, Nov 2024

Enrichment opportunities that build futures

Our enrichment programme, which offers students a wealth of opportunities to grow and develop beyond the classroom, was another area of praise. From an extensive range of clubs to a bespoke careers programme, we are committed to preparing our students for life beyond school.

“The enrichment offer at Northolt is very good and helps students to discover new passions”, stated a Year 9 parent.

“Pupils can enhance their leadership skills by contributing to the school community. Pupils’ wider personal development is well considered.” Ofsted, Nov 2024

A diverse and welcoming community

At Northolt High School, we celebrate diversity and empower our students to make a difference to both their school and wider community through leadership roles, volunteering and fundraising.

A Year 12 pupil reflected: “There are so many opportunities for us to develop and practice our skills whilst serving our community.”

“Pupils enjoy their diverse and welcoming school. Pupils learn how to stay healthy and how to be active citizens.” Ofsted, Nov 2024

Positive behaviour across the school

Ofsted also recognised the positive behaviour demonstrated by our students. They behave well, respect one another and enjoy strong relationships with their peers and teachers. New policy changes, implemented with the full commitment of staff, have contributed to creating a calm and supportive environment where all students can thrive and where bullying is rare.

A Year 11 parent shared: “The teachers are amazing, they make sure the students perform at their best, whilst keeping them happy and safe.”

While we are proud of our achievements to date, our journey is just beginning. With the launch of Islip Manor High School, and the move to our new state-of-the-art building, we are excited about the opportunities this will bring. These developments will provide the perfect foundation to enhance the student experience even further, ensuring we continue to inspire, challenge and prepare our students for bright and ambitious futures.
